Taco Bell tests new Crispy Chicken Nuggets for a limited time at participating restaurants in the Minneapolis area.
It seems like they’re going the KFC and Chick-fil-A route (as opposed to the McDonald’s and Burger King route) as the Crispy Chicken Nuggets feature pieces of whole-muscle chicken breast marinated in spiced jalapeño buttermilk and then breaded and fried. The new chicken nuggets sound a lot like smaller pieces of the chicken from the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco of 2021.
For dipping, Taco Bell tests two new dipping sauces: Bell sauce and Jalapeño Honey Mustard. Bell sauce is made with tomatoes, red chiles, onion, and garlic, while Jalapeno Honey Mustard features the spicy heat of jalapeño and tangy mustard paired with honey.
Taco Bell’s Crispy Chicken Nuggets come in two sizes: Five nuggets with one sauce for $3.99 to $4.99 (varies with location) and 10 nuggets with two sauce for $6.99 to $8.99.
