You know, I always wondered how I’d begin my first post in over a year, and I guess that’s the answer: “Hi.” How anti-climatic.
But yes, HI. Hi, JFG Nation. It has been a long. Long. Long. Long. Time. A long time since I’ve written a post. A long time since I’ve edited a photo. A long time since I really engaged in social media. My IG game is way down, and I can’t remember when I myself even looked at this website. It’s been a while, to say the least. Editing the photos below, I felt like a novice. This stuff used to be second nature to me. This time around? It took me forever to remember the password to this site. Not kidding.
Over the past year, I thought about what I might say in this post. The long rambling apology for being away for so long. The philosophical thoughts about blogging, food, sports, parenting, and life itself. The majestic way I’d re-enter the realm of food writing, announcing my triumphant return!
There’s only one problem: this ISN’T my triumphant return.
No; please consider this a one-off – a drop of rain that makes you look up, wondering where that came from. For new readers (if any, at this point), I used to run this website meticulously for years and years and years. Read this for a brief history. Every day, a new snack or food or something. Every day, a random thought, a random rant. I was part of a podcast, then I wasn’t; I would sample new foods at restaurants and company factories, then I didn’t; I used to go the Summer Fancy Food Show, then I…no, I still went to that this year. It was delicious.
So what happened? Well, JFBaby happened. And now the only FOMO I get is baby-related. I used to take pictures of food everywhere I went. Now I have literal THOUSANDS of baby snapshots. It happened, everyone. I was assimilated.
So yes, maybe I’ll drop off the face of the Earth again after this post. Maybe I’ll come back in a few months. Maybe I’ll HEY PUT DOWN THAT BOTTLE! *snaps fingers* HEY! HEY! PUT IT DOWN…..DON’T THROW IT. DON*. Sigh. I’ll be right back.
Today’s junk food: Most Stuf Oreo!!
So back in June, I IG-ed/Tweet-ed this:
The truth is, that random packaging promo wasn’t the only thing I had. I also had THE COOKIE ITSELF:

THERE we go. Almost 4x the creme, people. FOUR X! THAT’S….A LOT OF CREME.
(Btw, yes, I know – I DO NOT OWN AN IPHONE X. Otherwise I’d be able to get this cookie photo in portrait mode, right? Right. SOMEONE BUY ME AN IPHONE X.)
This photo is presented in case you’re wondering how much creme we’re talking about here. The cookie sat almost 3/4-inch thick. The creme itself took up between 5/16 and 6/16 of an inch. This was an absurd amount of creme.
Twisting the top off was like unscrewing a jar of creme. It almost looked like a mistake. A GLORIOUS SWEET MISTAKE.
This is a knife. This is a knife with the creme scraped off onto the tip. I could’ve mortared up the brick on the outside of my house with this stuff.
The consistency of the creme? Exactly the same are regular Oreo creme – just lots more of it. Like Double Stuff, like Mega Stuff – this just had MORE STUF. How’d it taste? DAMN SWEET. This isn’t rocket science, peeps – this is just a cookie with a WHOLE LOT MORE SUGARY GOODNESS.
Did I like it? Sure, the way that I liked eating sugar cubes straight from the box back in high school. Sometimes sugar JUST TASTES GOOD. And this cookie scratches that itch well. My info says these come out in January 2019. Get ready.
