It could be really annoying to dedicate so much time and attention to something for it to end up being wacky. We are here to ensure your baking problems are solved and giving you possible reasons for the mistakes you encounter and how to solve them to give you better results the next time you bake. So sit and learn.
Cake too dense: This could happen because enough air was not trapped into the batter or the appropriate amount of ingredients we’re not used while baking. So this is how to fix a dense cake; mix you batter properly and a little bit longer to enable it to trap more air, use the appropriate amount of flour because too much flour could make your cake dense, check your leavening agents(to ensure they are not expired or fake)
Cake too dry: Have you ever baked and seen your cake dry and crispy instead of nice and fluffy. This could be your own special recipe that can be some else’s problem. Here is what you should do, do not bake for too long, this could make it dry and add enough moisture while baking.
Cake not cooked in the middle: This could be a big spoiler, it happens mainly because the temperature used in baking was too high. If you used vegetables, they could have added more moisture to your recipe. You could drain/ squeeze the moisture out before adding to your mixture.
Cake cracked on top while baking: This is mainly due to a hot oven. You could try reducing the temperature a little. Adding too much leavening agent could also cause this.
The cake is stuck to pan: This could be solved by greasing your pan properly.
The cake is wet at the bottom: This is due to too much liquid in the recipe. You should try reducing it the next time to bake the recipe.
The cake is overflowing: This is usually a messy sight to behold. It simply means the pan was filled with better too much for its size, you should work on that the next time you bake.
Cake has bubbles on top: This happens when the cake sits for a while before it starts baking. This is why it’s always said that you should preheat your oven before you start baking.
Cake has crusty edges: This happens when too much grease is used at the edges of the pan and the cake literally fried at the edges.
The cake did not rise: This happened? It’s definitely a leavening agent problem. You probably didn’t add enough or you used one that is expired or fake or you simply just forgot to add It.
