These grills are typically sold for outdoor kitchens and feature images of the wine and cheese lifestyle. However, the American Made Grill, especially the massive 8-burner model, breaks away from this image. This enormous grill spans eight feet and weighs around 1,000 pounds. Though, its size is not the only factor that sets the American Made Grill 54-inch grill apart from the rest.

This grill was initially intended to be a gas unit, but it is adaptable and can also utilize other fuel sources. Stainless steel trays are positioned underneath the cooking grates and above the burners. These trays can be filled with either charcoal or hardwood. The burners initially ignite the fire, then turn off once the grill is heated; cooking can take place without the use of gas.

American Muscle-54-inch Heating Capabilities

This grill is a powerhouse, burning gas to deliver up to 176,000 BTUs from its eight main burners onto the nearly 1,100 square inches of cast stainless cooking grates. These impressive features make it one of the most powerful gas grills available. Additionally, its hybrid system adds a level of versatility not commonly found in other models. However, with a price tag of nearly $16,000 (price varies), this grill is not cheap – and for good reason. Luckily, ash can be removed via the drip pan. If you plan on using this unit as a smoker, be aware that it will need a little extra care.
