Step-by-Step Directions

Step 1: Preheat The Oven

Preheat the oven to 500°F. Place a pizza stone in the oven to heat up if you plan on using it.

Step 2: Assemble the Pizza

If you haven’t pulled your pork yet this is the time to do it, I recommend shredding it with two forks or bear claws. Then place it in a bowl, add your favorite BBQ sauce.

Using the back of a spoon, spread barbecue sauce over the pizza bases, making sure the dough doesn’t rip. Then, add a layer of shredded mozzarella, making sure you get right to the edges.

Add pulled pork, jalapenos, and red onions. Top with the cheese.

Step 3: Cook the Pizza

Place pizza in the oven, if you using a pizza stone, place the pizza on the stone. Bake for 10-14 minutes; turn the broiler on for the last 2-3 minutes and watch carefully. When it has reached your preferred level of doneness, remove from the oven

Step 4: Serve

Slice the pizza into wedges and serve immediately. We like to serve our pizza with a side of ranch dressing.

My Favorite Types of Cheese To Use

Mozzarella is a classic choice for pizza, as its creamy, mild flavor gives it that epic cheese pull. But why stop there? Cheddar adds a bold, tangy kick that pairs perfectly with the smoky pork. Blue cheese offers a sharp, complex flavor if you prefer something more intense.

For a lighter option, ricotta, feta, or jack cheese brings unique textures and tastes. We also like to sprinkle of parmesan on top to serve when we want to add a salty kick.
